Artist Lila Upton

STILL LIFE PAINTINGS IN BOTH TRADITIONAL AND MODERN STYLES

Lila was born in the small town of Ba in Fiji, after moving to Nadi where she worked at the International Airport she met traveling artist and her future husband Alan. They married and moved to Australia where she followed in her husbands’ footsteps and became an artist.

She is self-taught and created her own styles, both with the use of traditional and modern influence. She has exhibited in both private and public exhibitions selling Australia and abroad.

Lila spends time concentrating on fine detail on her delicate flowers then will let loose on the more side of things, creating various scenes using her artistic creativity. Lila will spend countless hours on paintings and is willing to paint whatever there is on offer.

Like Alan, Lila strives to please and create artwork that differs from others assuring that her creations suit the tastes of art lovers.

Some of Lila’s work hang in galleries and in private collections throughout Australia and overseas and become the focal discussion when viewers over a relaxing cup of coffee.

When not painting Lila spends her time in the gallery busily framing artwork for others and communicating with friendly, professional advice.
